PLOT

Il Bene comune, a film directed by Rocco Papaleo, tells the story of an unusual excursion destined to change its participants forever.
Biagio (Rocco Papaleo) is a guide who accepts the unusual task of accompanying four female inmates on a reward outing in the Pollino National Park. They are Samanta (Claudia Pandolfi), beautiful and bold; Gudrun (Teresa Saponangelo), Italian-Norwegian; Fiammetta (Livia Ferri), a former rising star of the independent music scene; and Anny (Rosanna Sparapano), a brilliant hacker. Joining them is also Raffaella (Vanessa Scalera), an actress in crisis, searching for a new opportunity.
What should have been a simple trip into nature soon turns into a much deeper journey. The symbolic destination is the majestic Bosnian pine, a centuries-old tree that dominates the Pollino massif and embodies resilience. But the real journey is an inner one: through कठिन climbs and harsh yet magnificent landscapes, fragments of lives marked by mistakes, wounds, and unspoken desires begin to emerge. Nature becomes a space for confrontation and possibility. Talking, sharing stories, even singing together allows the women to release tensions and rediscover a sense of belonging.
In this harsh yet supportive environment, differences intertwine and something begins to change. The simple act of opening up can be the first step toward a greater transformation—both personal and collective. Until a sudden event throws everything into question, reminding them that every achievement is fragile…
