Actor, author, and content creator Luigi Di Razza presents in Ischia his first book, “Faccio sempre tutto io” (“I Always Do Everything Myself”), a humorous novel that turns family roles upside down and reflects on women’s mental load and family dynamics.
One morning, like any other, in a town whose name is never spoken, mothers suddenly disappear.
What remains are bewildered fathers, unruly children, and a daily life that turns into a true tragicomedy.
This is the original premise of “Faccio sempre tutto io” (published by Sperling & Kupfer, part of Mondadori Group), the first book by Luigi Di Razza, which has already won over thousands of readers across Italy and established itself as one of the most notable debut novels of the year.
After stops in Naples, Salerno, Palermo, and Milan, the book will be presented on Thursday, June 25, at 7:00 PM in Ischia (at Giunti al Punto), before continuing its journey across Italy through Agropoli, Campobasso, and Rome.
An actor, author, and creator followed by more than 250,000 people on social media, Luigi Di Razza approaches themes related to relationships and parenthood with lightness and irony, turning everyday situations into opportunities for reflection.
The novel’s protagonist is Luca, a husband convinced he has everything under control and a loving but often distracted father. He suddenly finds himself without his wife Elena—and without any of the other mothers in town. Their unexplained disappearance throws the entire community into chaos.
Amid supermarkets being stormed, diapers changed using improbable methods, and men unable even to start a washing machine, the story unfolds through comedy and social commentary, highlighting the often invisible weight of domestic and family responsibilities.
With a witty and self-deprecating style, the author crafts a contemporary story that entertains while also encouraging readers to reflect on the value of sharing responsibilities, accountability, and awareness within family relationships.
