After putting an end to the siege of Troy through a clever stratagem, Odysseus (Matt Damon) sets sail with his loyal companions toward Ithaca, where his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Tom Holland) await him. However, the journey home turns into a long odyssey, hindered by stormy forces, hostile creatures, his own hubris, and the ghosts of his conscience.
Meanwhile, in Ithaca, Penelope resists the advances of the many suitors who have taken over the royal palace and whom local customs prevent her from openly rejecting. With a cunning equal to that of her husband, she manages to keep them at bay while fighting to protect herself, her family, and the kingdom. Among them all, the most dangerous is Antinous (Robert Pattinson), who, frustrated by her refusal to choose a new husband, loses patience and devises a plan to force her to surrender and seize the throne.
Fearing for his mother’s life and the fate of Ithaca, Telemachus embarks on a journey across the Ionian Islands in search of news of his father and a reason to believe in his return. His story becomes a coming-of-age tale, forcing him to mature quickly in order to face the threat posed by the suitors and help save his family and the future of the kingdom...
