Tribute to Gino Paoli and Ornella Vanoni: Lina Sastri and Paoli's Band to Perform in Casamicciola on July 15

One of the highlights of the 24th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival will be a special tribute to Gino Paoli and Ornella Vanoni. The event will take place on Wednesday, July 15, in Piazza Marina, Casamicciola Terme, starting at 9:00 p.m.
The announcement was made by the Mayor of Casamicciola, Giosi Ferrandino, and the festival's producer, Pascal Vicedomini. The tribute will feature Lina Sastri, accompanied by maestro Adriano Pennino, together with Gino Paoli's longtime band, led by Dario Picone, paying homage to two legendary artists whose careers helped shape some of the most memorable chapters in Ischia's cultural history. Among the invited guests will also be Paola Penzo, Gino Paoli's wife.
Paoli and Vanoni have shared a special bond with the island since the early years of their artistic careers, when they performed at iconic venues such as Rancio Fellone and the Castillo d'Aragona, contributing to an extraordinary era of music, entertainment, and glamour that helped establish Ischia's international reputation.
The tribute will also celebrate some of the festival's most memorable recent moments, including Gino Paoli's 2013 concert at the Regina Isabella, which received a standing ovation from Sting and Trudie Styler, seated in the front row. It will also recall the meaningful on-stage reunion at the same venue between Antonello Venditti and entrepreneur Giancarlo Carriero, a longtime friend of the artist.
The evening will further evoke the unforgettable event in Rome that brought together Sting, Bruce Springsteen, and Gino Paoli, a powerful symbol of the international spirit that has always distinguished the Ischia Global Festival.
The tribute is part of the summer cultural program organized by the Municipal Administration of Casamicciola Terme.
