THE RETURN OF “’NZAURETE”

On the 70th anniversary of the death of poet Giovanni Verde, Pro Loco Panza, in collaboration with the Fantasynapoli APS Association and with the patronage of the Municipality of Forio, announces the much-awaited return of “’Nzàurete” (“Get Married”), the hilarious portrayal of rural life in the Forio dialect, combining prose, poetry and song.

This brilliant one-act play will provide moments of genuine hilarity while also inviting reflection through the advice a father gives his son, who wishes to get married: beauty fades, ornaments are forgotten, while values and good manners remain the true heritage on which to build a life together.

Playing the father, as he did 20 years ago, will be singing actor Gaetano Maschio, who also directs the production. The role of the son will once again be played by character actor Salvatore Mattera, while the boy will be portrayed for the first time by the very young Giovanni Sferratore.

The music by Maestro Cav. Giuseppe Colella, based on an idea by Giovanni Verde, will be performed under the direction of Maestro Silvano Trani.

An evening not to be missed, celebrating pure entertainment and the traditions of Forio.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 26 at 9:00 p.m. in Piazza S. Leonardo in Panza.
