Zootropolis 2, directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore, once again follows police officer Judy Hopps and her friend Nick Wilde, who in the previous film had successfully passed the police academy exam. The two officers must investigate a new case, which could prove to be one of the most challenging and complex of their careers. A mysterious reptile named Gary has arrived in Zootropolis and is wreaking havoc across the city of mammals.
While attending a prestigious party where a mysterious book will be unveiled, Judy (original voice by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick (Jason Bateman) must prevent Gary De'Snake (Ke Huy Quan) from stealing it. In their attempt to stop him, however, they are mistakenly identified as Gary’s accomplices and end up fugitives alongside him. They soon realize that Gary is not the true villain; he was seeking the book because it contains elements that could restore his reputation. The real antagonist is someone else entirely—someone who, to get their hands on the same volume, has not hesitated to kill in the past… and will do so again if Nick and Judy fail to save the day.
The investigation, however, will put their partnership to the ultimate test, in ways they have never experienced before…
