The volume portrays the remarkable figure of Maria Bakunin — a scientist, intellectual, and unconventional woman in twentieth-century Naples. Maria carved out her own independent path: a university professor, a distinguished chemist, and a discreet yet decisive presence in Neapolitan cultural life. Her story speaks of intellectual freedom, dedication to study, and female independence at a time when none of these were taken for granted.
The author will be in conversation with Marianna Lamonica.
